"Anyone can love a rose, but it takes a lot to love a leaf. It's ordinary to love the beautiful but it's beautiful to love the ordinary."

"My name is Omid Asadi (Deh mirahmadi) 35 from Sale (originally from Iran) Art for me is the way of looking differently to this world and around myself.I started to think why nobody paid attention to these beautiful leaves and trod on them, because of their name - if they were called flowers we wouldn’t tread on them at all! I wanted to give the leaves another Life and make art from them. This was my first step to becoming an artist and my leaf cutting art led to a very successful way.

My works were exhibited in London; (Coffee art project and my work was the symbol of the magazine for coffee art Project 2013), Charlton Art Festival(2013); Arison Art Gallery and in Milan(2013); (my work was selected by an impressed panel of judges to be displayed in Milan, after that judges chose 30 works from 200high quality pieces to be auctioned to raise funds for provide clean water in Africa/Tanzania), also I launched an exhibition at the Corn Exchange in Manchester(2013 and2014), Manchester Royal Exchange 4/11/2014-4/01/2015.

Handmade leaf cut art process :

I collect beautiful leaves, dries and presses the leaves before sketching out complicated patterns to apply to each one.after sketching I start cutting with knife .Each piece can take between a week and two months to complete as a slight slip of the hand could rip the surface and destroy hours of work.

Omid, I’m in awe of your incredible talent, variety of themes and excruciating detail. What a blessing you have/are! I’ve always marveled at leaves in all phases of their cycles of existence and appreciate leaf art. But, you; my friend have taken it to a whole other unearthly realm. Just takes my breath away, in particular Nature Scream and the clock. I’m so happy to of been sent your website from a friend. Thank you, Merci Beaucoup, Mahalo and God Bless. What a beautiful gift!

What a blessing I received this morning when I got this link to your site. Being an October baby, the leaves have always been a fascination to me. I often bring leaves to the attention of my children. My grandmother helped me appreciate these beauties of nature. But how you add to their natural art is an enviable gift. Hope one day to have one as a logo. It is now on my goal list. Extraordinary.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Can you please send me a price list as a matter of interest? I was sent an email showing your work and then I did my own search to see other examples. You are amazing in what you achieve with such a delicate medium. Wonderful and amazing are just words that don’t express what you are able to do

A friend sent me a link to your work and I was bowled over by how beautiful all of your work is. You’re incredibly talented !!! and the patience you must have to work with “leaves” I envy you. Where and how can I purchase ?

I also had maybe an odd question, in one of the pics of your work “eye” your hand is in the pic and you’re wearing a very interesting bracelet. I would love to have a bracelet like that—- can you tell me where you purchased that ? I would be very appreciative.

    Thank you,
    John
